How to get ready for an interview
Most interviews in Daulo test the same things: whether you understand the job, whether you can show you have done similar work, and whether you would fit the team. Preparation you can see — answers written down, stories practised out loud, a checklist ticked — makes the day itself calmer.
A week before
- Research the employer — what it does, recent news, and the team you would join.
- Re-read the advert and list the requirements you will be asked about. The interview predictor suggests likely questions from the advert.
- Prepare three to five stories in the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result) in Behavioural (STAR) mastery, and keep your best answers in the Q&A vault.
The day before
- Practise out loud with Interview practice or the practice timer — two minutes is a good length for most answers.
- Check the logistics: the route and travel time, or the video link, camera and microphone.
- Prepare two or three questions to ask them about the role, the team or how success is measured.
Afterwards
Mark the interview as done, write down the questions you were asked in the Question journal while you still remember them, and update the outcome when you hear back.
How is the readiness score calculated?
It adds up the preparation saved in your account: 5 points per answer in the Q&A vault (up to 20), 2 points per practice question you rated “got it” (up to 20), 5 points per STAR story marked ready (up to 20), 5 points per real interview question logged (up to 10) and up to 30 points for the prep checklist of your next interview. It is a count of what you have done — not a prediction of how the interview will go.
Can I add the interview to my calendar?
Yes — “Add to calendar” downloads a standard calendar file (.ics) that Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar can open. Times are saved as you enter them, in your own time zone.
Who can see my interviews?
Only you. They are saved to your own Expertini account and shown in the Expertini app, and are never shared with employers.
Is it free?
Yes. Adding interviews, the checklist and the readiness view do not use any of your plan's allowance.
