How to build a portfolio employers read

A portfolio shows what a CV can only describe. Recruiters and hiring managers in Daulo rarely have time to explore a long website, so a short list of your strongest work — each with what you did and what changed because of it — is often more useful than everything you have ever made.

What to include

  • Three to six pieces that match the jobs you want. Feature the most relevant one so it shows first.
  • Your role — especially for team work. Say what you did.
  • A short story for each: the goal, your approach and the result. Use a real figure when you have one.
  • Skills as the advert would write them, so a reader can see the match at a glance.
  • A working link to the work itself, a case-study page, a code repository or a public document.

Not a designer or developer?

Portfolios are not only for creative jobs. A teacher can link a lesson plan, a nurse a published audit or poster, a tradesperson photos of finished work on a public album, an analyst a report with the data removed. Never share anything confidential or another person's private information.

Can I upload files or images?

No — the portfolio keeps links only, so nothing you upload is stored. Put the work somewhere you control (your own site, a cloud folder shared as "anyone with the link", GitHub, Behance) and add the link here.

Who can see my portfolio?

It is saved to your own Expertini account and shown in the Expertini app. It is not published anywhere on its own — you choose when to share a link or copy it into an application.

Which links are accepted?

Web addresses that start with http:// or https:// (we add https:// if you leave it off). Other kinds of links are refused for your safety.

Is it free?

Yes. Adding, editing and copying your portfolio does not use any of your plan's allowance.
